5 TIPS TO SELF LOVE

The key to happiness in life is having a healthy and full self love. Often times we are so focussed on others, that we forget to love ourselves and meet our own needs.

A woman that is able to meet her own needs and knows what she needs, is an unstoppable woman.

The next 5 steps are stepping stones to help us grow our self love so that we can have a full and joyful life.

  • KNOW YOUR WHY?

This is the biggest step. Know your why. What does that mean? Know why you want to develop your self love.

Is it because you are tried of feeling unloved? Is it because you want to build your confidence. Knowing your WHY strengthens your ability to seeing it through.

2.. LET THEM GO

.If you want to build a strong sense of self love, we need to take a good look at the people who are in our lives. We will struggle to build our love, if we are surrounded by people who only want to pull us down.

Get into groups that encourage your growth and your love for who you are. 

3. SEE THE GOOD

If you are anything like me, seeing the good I do is not a natural thing. I always see the area that I need to improve, not the areas that I am excelling at. Developing a strong sense of self love, means that we need to acknowledge our own greatness and be willing to celebrate it. A simple step of writing out all the things that you achieved is a great way to seeing your own amazingness and will boost your confidence in yourself and love for who you are.

4. BOUNDARIES ARE KEY

To experience a healthy sense of self love, we NEED to have boundaries.

Boundaries are the terms and conditions for who you want to be treated and what you will or wont do. Setting boundaries are scary at first, but liberating once we take courage and do them. Often times when we feel sad, it’s because our boundaries have been violated and haven’t said anything or expressed that “NO”

5. COMMIT TO MAKING TIME FOR YOU.

No matter how small or large the time of gift might be, make it a priority to make time for you. IT doesn’t have to be a spa retreat, (though I highly recommend) but it can be, a coffee, a walk in the park, five minutes alone in the bathroom, lathering up with cream, whatever it is, that lights you up and makes you feel good, sexy and amazing, DO IT. It teaches your subconcious that you are worth it.

These are just 5 steps of many other amazing things we can do to build our self love. The most important thing we can do above all these things, is tackle our beliefs about yourselves. In our next session, we can unpack all those beliefs about ourselves and how we can truly embrace who we are and love ourselves like never before.
